Providing Emergency Medical Assistance Axton Life Saving Crew, Inc. Axton Life Saving serves 87 square miles in eastern Henry County and 7,600 residents. Bassett Rescue Squad, Inc. Bassett Rescue Squad provides emergency medical services to the residents of the Bassett community, as well as the surrounding areas of Patrick, Franklin and other parts of Henry County. Fieldale-Collinsville Volunteer Rescue Squad The Fieldale-Collinsville Volunteer Rescue Squad is dedicated to providing emergency medical advance life-support services in the Fieldale-Collinsville area. Horsepasture Rescue Squad The Horsepasture Rescue Squad provides emergency medical services to the residents of the Horsepasture/Spencer area. Martinsville/Henry County Rescue Squad The Martinsville/Henry County Rescue Squad provides emergency medical care to the citizens of Martinsville and Henry County. Ridgeway District Rescue Squad The Ridgeway District Rescue Squad is dedicated to providing emergency medical care to the residents of the Ridgeway community. Responding to People in Crisis Citizens Against Family Violence Provides crisis intervention support services to victims of family violence and/or sexual assault. CONTACT Provides a 24-hour helpline, crisis line and information and referral line to help individuals and families needing assistance with basic life needs or struggling with a mental and emotional crisis. Piedmont Community Services Helping individuals, families, and the community enhance their quality of life. Red Cross Providing relief to victims of disaster, and helping people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. The Mission Center The Mission Center is an ecumenical ministrythat cares for the less fortunate in the community. The Salvation Army Provides a variety of services to meet emergency and basic life needs through a holistic ministry dedicated to restoring the minds, bodies and spirits or men, women and children. Helping the Physically and Mentally Challenged MARC Workshop MARC Workshop provides individuals with disabilities a place within the community to learn and gain experience in a real work situation. Mental Health Association A non-profit, non governmental organization dedicated to promoting mental health, assisting in ethical treatment of mentally ill persons, and educating the community. Stepping Stones, Inc. Providing a day support program for mentally and physically challenged adults who are unable to function in the sheltered workshops environment. W. C. Ham Center, Inc. Provides employment services for persons with disabilities. Helping Children and Youth Boy Scouts of America, Blue Ridge Mtns. Council The Boy Scouts offers many programs to help development young people reach their full potential. Boys & Girls Club of Martinsville/Henry County Provides quality after school programs and activities for area youth, including teens. Family YMCAs The Family YMCA is focus on helping individuals through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Fieldale Community Center Providing quality recreational activities for Fieldale and surrounding areas. Focus on Youth Focus on Youth is dedicated to helping at-risk youth and potentially abused and neglected children in Martinsville & Henry County. For The Children For The Children Partners in Prevention, is working to reduce non-marital births in age groups 10-29 in Martinsville and Henry County Girl Scouts of Virginia Skyline Council, Inc. The Girl Scout Movement is inspiring young girls to strive for the highest ideals.
