With more than 200 volunteers and nearly 3,200 donors in Martinsville-Henry County each year, United Way of Henry County & Martinsville is the area's largest privately-funded nonprofit, addressing the community's immediate and long-termed needs in the focus areas of education, financial stability and healthy living, which are the building blocks for a good quality of life. Because of this support, we are able to support nearly 30 programs and community initiatives each year. While some funds are donor designated, more than 90 percent of these programs and initiatives is part of a rigorous vetting process from a diverse group of 20 to 30 volunteers each to ensure our investment with your donation has the greatest community impact.
In 2017, we raised more than $700,000. For a listing of 2017 Grant Awards, click here. The 2018 campaign drive kicks off September 8. Details are forthcoming.
At United Way, we offer multiple ways to support our work, whether through our residential mailing, your employer, online, planned giving or a donation of stock. For additional information, contact Kim Adkins, 276.403.5961.
