Financial Information and Public Reporting

United Way of Henry County & Martinsville plays a unique role as both a resource to local agencies and as a leader in the non-profit sector in building trust through all we do. This bond of trust goes beyond legal or regulatory requirements to include transparency, a core value we hold dear. We believe that a key element of transparency is freely sharing not only our IRS Form 990 (as required by law) but also our independently audited financial statements. It is our hope that doing so demonstrates our commitment to public accountability for the financial stewardship of the assets our donor have entrusted to us.

Below you will find United Way of Henry County & Martinsville's independently audited Annual Financial Statements, IRS Form 990 filings, and Annual Reports for the most recent years. (For copies of earlier years, please contact philip@unitedwayofhcm.org). Additionally included are our Community Report, Retail Sales and Use Tax Certificate of Exemption, Financial Policies, and Endowment Policies, These documents reflect only the operational results of the non-profit organization, United Way of Henry County & Martinsville, and do not represent the consolidated financial information of the global United Way network.

NOTE:  Each local United Way member is a separately incorporated 501(c)(3) tax exempt charity and is therefore required to complete their own independently audited Annual Financial Statements and IRS Form 990.
